Sylvandir, Aria, Tsomn - Skies

The keeper of the skies, Sylvandir is a massive, larger than mountains, winged creature with eight clawed legs like a feathered lizard and a long neck and tail. Sylvandir is usually only seen as a shadow in the crashing lightning and clouds of the great southern storms. However, there have been stories of travelers swearing to see some mountain tops in the distance with odd color and seemingly moving like a giant creature roosting on top of it in slumber. A few even dare claim to have seen him climbing off of the mountain tops before they can reach them, or have seen him flying up into the clouds just prior to a massive storm.

Amidst certain great storms, shimmering red lightning will strike into the dirt in a concentrated area. When these areas can be found by a magically attuned person, it is possible for them to learn how to wield a weaker form of lightning itself among their abilities. However, it is incredibly difficult to teach this power to others to a full extent due to the locations where this power naturally forms being the purest place from which to attune one self to this magic. Those who can climb to the tip of a mountain at the height of the storm as the eye passes over the mountain’s peak are also able to learn how to command the wind itself to a powerful extent. This power however is far easier to teach to others, but similarly is not as powerful if someone learns it second hand.

While Sylvandir is not necessarily a worshiped creature, people do pray to him to bring rain to their crops or clear the skies when a storm seems not to relent. When enough people all pray the same request, it almost always seems to be answered; bringing a great deal of belief to his existence and the stories told by travelers.
